Essential of Wetlands in a water-scarce country
Posted by Panorama Primary, South Africa on 24 February 2020

It was really interesting to learn the values and importance of having a wetland lesson since we also have one in our school backyard, it has made us look at it from a different perspective than we had before. Making the wetland model has changed the outlook of wetlands. There learners were really impressed by making their own wetland model , they were really excited when their models were rated from 1st to 5th of which one clean, filter & purify water better than others. They were able to experience its value and see how it acts as a sponge whereby it retain and absorb water. The lesson had great value and has definitely made a difference to each of them, I myself learnt so much about the lesson that was taught.
