On the 17th of January Future Warriors did Grow it yourself challenge. Firstly  Julia teach them about permaculture practice. How to save water through mulching and the need to use organic material not chemicals to build our soils. We must use compost and kraal manure instead of chemicals. They learnt about different kinds of soil loam ,sand and clay soil. We find out that loam soil is good for plants as it is full of food.We also did experiment checking availability of organic material in different soil using hydrogen peroxide. Then we planted seedlings pepper , spinach, beetroot, lettuce and cabbage. We also planted 11 different seeds.30 learners and 3 teachers were involved in this challenge.200 people know about this challenge
